According to Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, the new campaign is “not just another tourism awareness campaign.” “We must advertise how good of professionals we are, highlight Greece’s treasure of values, history and memories and show that brand ‘Greece’ is powerful and can withstand any crisis,” Mrs. Kefalogianni said during the presentation. The campaign entitled “Greece, the richest country in the world,” consists of four videos that will gradually be posted online and also promoted as a social message via the media, aiming to raise awareness and attract more tourists to Greece. In regards to this year’s tourism season, Mrs. Kefalogianni said 2013 will be a good tourism year for Greece and underlined that effort, planning, persistence and collective work are essential. The tourism minister called on all to contribute so guests in Greece would have an unforgettable holiday. “Greece’s image is changing step by step and improving… We want to highlight this upbeat and bright side of the country,” she added.
