According to the municipality, Russian speaking markets have been the fastest growing within the last three years on the island of Crete and all areas of Hersonissos. Grekomania.ru is one of the most popular tourism portals for Greece in the Russian language. Its traffic currently amounts to 8,000 visitors daily and it has the potential to increase by 90-110 percent in the summer and 100-150 percent annually. In regards to content, the portal provides users daily news, events, facts and rich photographic material that relates to Greece exclusively. According to the Municipality of Hersonissos, the ultimate goal is to promote Greece and all activities that the country offers. “This way we will provide the best possible information about the municipality and the experiences that await visitors,” the municipality said in an announcement.
