Olympic Air Gears Up With Travelport’s Rapid Reprice

Travelport, a leading distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, on 3 September announced the successful implementation of Travelport Rapid Reprice with Greek carrier, Olympic Air.

Travelport-connected agents booking Olympic Air can now recalculate a fare in seconds. Rapid Reprice yields the correct rules, taxes, additional collections, refunds or change fees, reducing the average transaction time to less than one minute.

“Travelport Rapid Reprice is an investment in saving time and administrative burden for agents,” said Eleni Papaioannou, reservation and distribution support manager at Olympic Air.

“With the ease of use and data integrity, we are confident that this will enhance the agent’s and the traveler’s experience,” she said.

Olympic Air joins Icelandair, Finnair and Swiss International Airlines in offering agents a fast and accurate re-pricing facility.

According to Simon Ferguson, Travelport’s UK and Ireland regional director, the implementation of Travelport Rapid Reprice with Olympic Air is part of the company’s longer term commitment to open up revenue and cost saving opportunities for its airline partners.
