Navarino Bike Festival Launches In October

The Southwest Peloponnese will welcome its first international mountain bike race 11-13 October 2013 with the support of Costa Navarino.

Professional and amateur cyclists are invited to participate and at the same time explore the rich countryside, visit the region and experience the diverse landscape.

The Navarino Bike Festival will host two main events for cycling professionals and enthusiasts to test their endurance through new and challenging race experiences.

• 12 October 2013 – Open Race – Everyone can participate!
• 13 October 2013 – International Cross Country Race (top mountain bike riders from around Europe will participate) – Included in UCI Official Calendar!

In addition, a series of social and cultural events and activities will take place throughout the Navarino Bike Festival, with the presence of local authorities and representatives of local communities, which will highlight the Messinian history, traditions and culture.
