Creta_maris_DSC_4955Creta_Maris_DSC_5150Guests at the Creta Maris Beach Resort recently took part in an authentic Cretan agricultural activity and assisted in the grape harvest. The event was organized by Creta Maris.

The hotel’s guests picked grapes from a vineyard and helped transfer them via a donkey to the site of the winepress. There, they were introduced to the production of “Raki,” a strong distilled spirit produced from the must-residue of the winepress.

During the event, Cretan hospitality was at its fullest with lots of traditional music, dancing and treats.

The guests of Creta Maris participated in both the harvesting and pressing of the grapes and gained a different, valuable and authentic Cretan experience during their vacation.

According to Creta Maris, through these activities, the hotel aims to offer visitors to Crete an unforgettable experience.

Creta Maris Beach Resort is owned by the Metaxas’ Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975.
