Destinations news GNTO Holds Talks On Saronic Gulf Promotion by GTP editing team 16 September 2013 written by GTP editing team 16 September 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 8 The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) is planning to promote the Saronic Gulf as a single tourism destination to Greeks and international travelers in order to boost arrivals to its several islands such as Hydra, Poros, Aegina and Spetses. During a recent meeting, local professionals informed GNTO President Christos Pallis on a series of significant issues for the area’s tourism development. Among issues discussed was also the need for improved accessibility to the Saronic Gulf islands (air connection with foreign destinations, improved sea and road transport). The GNTO is expected to launch a cooperation with the Attica region’s islands regional unit, the local government and professionals, so the Saronic Gulf will begin welcoming more tourists as of next year.
