Jeremy Irons To Attend European Premiere Of “Night Train to Lisbon” In Athens

Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons will arrive in Athens this evening to attend tomorrow’s European premiere of his new film “Night Train to Lisbon.”

The film will be screened tomorrow, Friday, 20 September, at 8:30pm, at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron Mousikis).

The British actor has been invited to Athens by the Greek Tourism Ministry and the Greek National Tourism Organization.

Night Train to Lisbon

“Night Train to Lisbon” is a 2013 drama film directed by Bille August and starring Jeremy Irons, Mélanie Laurent, Jack Huston, Martina Gedeck.

Based on the novel “Night Train to Lisbon” by Pascal Mercier, and written by Greg Latter and Ulrich Herrmann, the film is about Raimund Gregorius, a Swiss professor who saves the life of a woman and then abandons his teaching career and reserved life to embark on a thrilling intellectual adventure that takes him on a journey to the very heart of himself.
