Key Tourism Figures World Tourism Day 2013: Message By SETE President Andreas Andreadis by GTP editing team 27 September 2013 written by GTP editing team 27 September 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 “Greek tourism exhibits a strong growth momentum, having significantly improved its competitiveness and extroversion. It’s decisive contribution and the prospects it creates for our country’s exit from the crisis and growth of employment are now recognized by prominent personalities and prestigious international analysts. With the implementation of the strategic plan and policy for 2021, Greece could reach 24 million international arrivals (compared to 17.5 million in 2013), 18 to 19 billion euros of annual direct revenue (from 11.5 billion euros in 2013), 48 to 50 billion euros in total annual revenue (compared to 34 billion euros in 2013), in other words, 9 points more than the current GDP, but also 1 million jobs in total. Then, Greece can be ranked among the top 10 destinations in the world. However, it is not enough to have the best plot in the world and strategic development plan for tourism. Above all, unity, democracy and the full compliance with the law is necessary.” Andreas Andreadis President Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
