KLM Launces Scheduled Services To Santiago deChile

KLM Royal Dutch AirlinesKLM will expand its long-haul services next year to South –America, as it will launch a new scheduled service to Santiago, the capital of Chile and the cultural, political and financial center of the country and home to various headquarters of many multinational corporations.

“Santiago fits perfectly in our strategy where we focus on the emerging markets in South America. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer our customers our ninth destination in South-America,” said Pieter Elbers, chief operating officer, KLM.

From 2 February 2014, flights will be operated with a Boeing 777-300 (KL701 and KL702), with a stop in between in Buenos Aires three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from Amsterdam and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Santiago.

To suit its clients’ needs, KLM offers 3 classes on board:

  • 35 seats  in World Business Class for 777-300
  • 350 seats in Economy Class
  • 40 seats in the Economy Comfort Zone that offers 10 cm extra room for passenger’s legs, twice the lean back of their seats and priority disembarking.
