Greece To Host 2013 Ariane’s Cup Regatta

A great sailing Regatta, the 34th Ariane’s Cup, will take place 5-9 October in Greece by Istion Yachting.

103 yachts from 35 to 50 feet, registered with more than 850 sailors from all over the world, will have the opportunity to visit Greece and experience the Greek islands.

The schedule program

• 05/10/2013: Arrival, opening ceremony
• 06/10/2013: First race: Alimos-Poros, local event – Awards
• 07/10/2013: Second race: Poros-Aegina, local event – Awards
• 08/10/2013: Third race: Aegina-Palea Epidavros Awards – Awards – closing ceremony
• 09/10/2013: Return

Local authorities and the municipalities of Poros, Aegina and Epidaurus support the organization.

The Ariane’s Cup began in 1979 as a corporate regatta of companies participating in the European space program Ariane. Since then, the race is held with success every year by Oscar organization in a different area each time.
