During their stay, the Turkish professionals were given the grand tour of Epirus starting from Ioannina, the capital and largest city of the destination and then were introduced to Nisaki (small island). A visit to Nisaki is considered a must while in Ioannina. An excursion to the southwest of Epirus region followed, with visits to Parga and the Acheron river. After the tour, the Turkish tour operators discussed the possibility of including Epirus in a travel package for their customers in Turkey. Prior to the fam trip, the Region of Epirus was a relatively unknown destination to Turkish professionals. Upon departure, the tour operators expressed their positive impressions of the region and announced their intention to form a partnership with Sivota Diamond Spa Resort to introduce Epirus to Turkish travelers. The Sivota Diamond Spa Resort is a member of the Top Peak Hotels group. The familiarization trip took place 22-25 September and was organized by Respond On Demand*. * Respond On Demand is an innovate electronic system that aims to bring hoteliers from Greece and Cyprus into contact with tour operators and travel agents from all over the world.
