International arrivals this past September reached 1,955,384 from 1,730,816 for the same month in 2012. The overall increase in arrivals for the first nine months of 2013 was 10.23 percent (11,422,296 tourists from 10,362,668 in January-September 2012), according to provisional data of Greece’s main airports. SETE said that estimates for a record year of 17.5 million international arrivals and 11.5 billion euros of direct revenue from tourism have been confirmed.
