Sani Resort Celebrates Eurobirdwatch With Two-Day Event

Sani Resort in Chalkidiki will hold a two-day event dedicated to the protection of the birdlife of the Sani wetlands to mark Eurobirdwatch, the annual birdwatching event in Europe and Central Asia.

The event will take place on Sunday 13 October (for the public and hotel guests) and Monday 14 October (for students) and is held within the framework of the resort’s “Sani Green” program and in collaboration with the Hellenic Ornithological Society and Action for Wildlife.

Activities include: birdwatching, guided tours, environmental education activities (painting and constructions), wildlife photography exhibition and releasing birds into the wild.

The Sani company has undertaken an important environmental initiative – studying and protecting the birdlife of the Sani wetlands. Eurobirdwatch
2013 marks the 20th year of the EuroBirdwatch initiative, BirdLife’s annual birdwatching event in Europe and Central Asia. The initiative works to raise awareness of issues relating to bird migration and promotes efforts to save threatened bird species and their habitats.
