Thessaloniki Hosts 2nd International Night Halfmarathon

Thessaloniki will host the 2nd International Night Halfmarathon and 5000-km run, organized by athletic association Μ.Ε.Α.S TRITON and the Municipality of Thessaloniki, on Saturday 19 October 2013.

Halfmarathon (21,100m)

Starting time: 18.42 (sunset)
Route description: The race starts at Nikis Avenue
The Halfmarathon route follows the roads: Nikis Avenue, Alexander The Great Avenue, Paraskevopoulou, Vasilisis Olgas Avenue, Vasileos Georgiou Avenue, Andronikou, Tsimiski, Politechniou, Karatasou, Kountouriotou Avenue, Nikis Avenue where the athletes finish in front of the White Tower.

5.000m Road Race

Starting time: 20:40
Route description: The race starts at the City Hall of Thessaloniki  (streets involved: Vasileos Georgiou and Tritis Septemvriou).
The 5.000 route follows the roads: Vasileos Georgiou Avenue, Andronikou, Tsimiski, Politechniou, Karatasou, Kountouriotou Avenue,  Nikis Avenue, where the participants finish in front of the White Tower (the whole route runs in parallel with the Halfmarathon route, having the same finish, the White Tower).

Even if you don’t wish to run, come over to give a warm applause to the runners!

The 2nd International Night Halfmarathon is held under the aegis of SEGAS and the support of EAS SEGAS of Thessaloniki.
