Road to Awareness (R2A) The Road to Awareness (R2A) associate fundraising campaign has been making a positive difference to children in the communities Starwood operates in since 2008. Every year between April and November, employees throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East organise fundraising events in their hotels to help support a chosen UNICEF project. For 2013, Starwood Hotels & Resorts aims to raise over USD$500,000 to support 8,000 very poor and excluded children in Cameroon and Nigeria. The annual Road to Awareness fundraising campaign will this year help children get a chance of enrolling in school and the right to an education.
