The new routes will launch for the summer 2014 period. The low cost carrier will connect Edinburgh with Heraklion (Crete) via one flight per week (every Tuesday) from 1 April 2014. As of 26 April the number of flights between Edinburgh and Heraklion will rise to two per week (every Tuesday and Thursday). easyJet will also launch flights to Kos from Glasgow as of 5 April 2014. The flights will be operated twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday). Prices for the routes will start at around £35. According to reports, at the end of this summer, heads of Easyjet had commented that the Greek islands are among their most dynamic destinations for 2014.
