A joint declaration of cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and her Argentine counterpart, Carlos Enrique Meyer, in a meeting held in Buenos Aires on Wednesday 13 November.

The two sides agreed to promote bilateral tourism relations on the basis of the friendship that connects Greece and Argentina.

The joint declaration includes:

  • The implementation of measures to boost tourist traffic between Greece and Argentina.
  • The organization of familiarization trips for tour operators and journalists.
  • The promotion and facilitation of investment in the tourism sector by Greek and Argentine businessmen.
  • The direct contact and communication between the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Argentina National Institute of Tourism Promotion.
  • Cooperation on special forms of tourism such as agritourism, cultural tourism and ecotourism.
