Marketing Greece Promotes Athens Through Fashion Film Festival Sponsorship

In an effort to showcase Athens as a modern European city with strong cultural elements and artistic flair, the private marketing company for Greek tourism Marketing Greece is sponsoring the “Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya,” the first fashion film festival held in the country.

Vicky_Kaya_fashionThe “Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya” is presenting “Fashion on Screen,” a selection of fashion films by costume designer, photographer and blogger Filep Motwary, for the first time in Greece, at the new revamped Screening Room of NIXON.

Aiming to promote the country’s tourism product through exciting stories on hidden experiences, Marketing Greece is supporting such initiatives that reveal a different side of Greek creativity through fashion, art and film.

The four-day fest, the purpose of which is to promote the industry of Greek Fashion, launched 13 November and has been welcoming fashion journalists, photographers and bloggers from all around the world. “Fashion on Screen” is projecting fashion films, new and older, documentaries or fiction, which had a great impact on the world of fashion.

“Greece needs a new face, new images. We will support any action that promotes our country in a different context and aims to boost it as a top destination has that can offer unique experiences to visitors,” the general manager of Marketing Greece, Iosif Parsalis, said.

The “Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya” wraps up on 16 November.
