Destinations news Thessaloniki To Get More Tourism Promotion Next Year by GTP editing team 20 November 2013 written by GTP editing team 20 November 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Thessaloniki Tourism Organization President Yiorgos Tsamaslis Thessaloniki will participate in over 19 international tourism exhibitions next year, according to the president of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, Yiorgos Tsamaslis. While speaking at the opening press conference for the Philoxenia exhibition on 20 November, Mr. Tsamaslis referred to the organization’s successful reactivation that has the active support of all local bodies. The organization’s president said that in 2014 the amount of 350,000 euros will be used to finance promotional actions for Thessaloniki. These actions will include the city’s participation in international tourism fairs. He also referred to the interest of low cost carriers to make Thessaloniki Airport a hub for their flights, while other carriers are looking to launch more links to the city.
