Air Travel Air Serbia Announces Airbus A319 Aircraft To Service Athens, Thessaloniki by GTP editing team 25 November 2013 written by GTP editing team 25 November 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 17 Airbus A319 operated by Air Serbia had its maiden flight for Athens this month and as of 24 November operates the new route: Belgrade-Thessaloniki. On these routes, Airbus A319 replaces the Boeing 737 as part of the changes to the transport network and timetable of the company. Air Serbia flies to Athens every day and from 2 January 2014 the number of weekly flights will increase to 10. Flights to Thessaloniki are conducted three times a week. From 1 January 2014 Air Serbia will fly to the Greek northern city once per day. “Athens is a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world and Greece is one of the most popular destinations for summer season vacations for our guests from Serbia and Europe,” the general director of Air Serbia, Dane Kondic, said. “We are increasing the number of flights to Athens and Thessaloniki and soon are planning to introduce other new destinations,” Mr.Kondic added. Airbus A319, with a new logo and livery of Air Serbia, has eight seats in the cabin of the new business class and 120 seats in economy class.
