Greece Chosen By Brits When Abroad On Holiday

Greece is among the 10 most preferred holiday destinations of British travelers, according to a recent infographic released by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA). The association’s figures also show that the country is also one of them most popular wedding destinations in Europe.

After processing information from the ONS Travel Trends 2012 report, ABTA has included Greece in the sixth place of the “Top 10 Holiday Destination” category.

Greece also made the “Most Popular Wedding Destinations” category and is included as a favorite destination of British travelers alongside Croatia, Cyprus and Italy.

In the “Top 5 Favorite Resorts” category, Lindos on the Greek island of Rhodes turns out to be very popular, according to booking figures of ABTA members.

ABTA’s “Brits Abroad” infographic highlights consumer trends and top destinations from city breaks and ski resorts, to summer sun favorites and great honeymoons.
