Blue Star Ferries received the 2013 Bronze Ermis Award in the category of “Low Budget” for the “Traditional Occupations” corporate social responsibility program that aims to revive and preserve a series of traditional occuptions and arts that are continuously facing the danger of extinction. Traditional Occupations program Through its official website, the company presents (in Greek) a series of occupations practiced on the Greek islands and promotes the role of local societies whilst sustaining and protecting Greece’s national heritage. The program “Traditional Occupations” is a part of Attica Group’s corporate social responsibility program entitled “With you as our destination” that is addressed to the Greek islands served by the Group’s fleet through its vessel owning Blue Star Ferries and Superfast Ferries. The annual event of the Ermis Awards is organized by the Association of Advertising and Communication Companies in Greece.
