Some green activities that Creta Maris follows include: energy saving (with special electricity cards placed on the guest room keys used for the electricity in the room), renewable energy (solar park), water saving (with special pipes used in the hotel), environment friendly cleaning products (used in the hotel) and green activities (forestation and landscape cleaning). The hotel also holds frequent environmental activities headed by the Creta Maris Green Team, the hotel’s environmental group, which aims to help improve the area’s image displayed to tourists and protect the environment. In addition, for the last two years, the hotel’s food sector includes local products while local customs are also introduced to guests. Creta Maris Beach Resort belongs to Metaxas Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975. It has a capacity of 675 rooms, suites and bungalows, six restaurants, seven bars, seven swimming pools, a gym, spa, Asteria Children’s Club and many places for outdoor and indoor activities for children and adults.
