Travel Trade Athens 2013 workshop2nd Travel Trade Athens: Two days. Hundreds of tourism professionals. B2B meetings. Special tours.

Travel_Trade_Athens_2014The Greek capital will once again be in the spotlight with the launch of the second edition of the annual Travel Trade Athens event at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center.

Travel Trade Athens is the signature annual trade event for the Greek capital hosting selected international buyers focused on Athens and Greece. The event will take place 14-15 April and host over 70 tour operators, tourism professionals, conference organizers and distinguished journalists from the United States and Europe.

The trade event was first introduced in 2013 as part of the strategy of the Municipality of Athens to promote the Greek capital in the international tourism market and inform foreign businesses and professionals on the destination’s tourism product and services.

Trade event to go beyond Athens

However, given the broad Greek and international interest expressed for the second edition of the trade event and on the occasion of the Greece Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the organizers have decided to extend the scope on a national level.

Hosted buyers and suppliers interested in other Greek destinations besides Athens can participate in the event as well.

A workshop will also be held on City Tourism Development with special guest speakers from abroad and Greece as well as leading representatives of international organizations.

The two-day event will also include a hospitality program and an extensive acquaintance program of the Greek capital to present the tourism portfolio and competitive advantages of Metropolitan Athens as a tourism destination.
