TIF-HelexpoA section of the exhibition premises of TIF-Helexpo in Thessaloniki city center is planned to be donated to the city for the construction of a metropolitan park, according to Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Theodoros Karaoglou.

TIF-Helexpo_1While attending a recent event of Greek exhibition and conference organizer TIF–Helexpo, Mr. Karaoglou said one of the top priorities this year was to upgrade the existing exhibition facilities in Thessaloniki and provide space to the city for the construction of a metropolitan park. “This is something that can begin this year,” he said.

TIF-Helexpo’s main priority for 2014 is to strengthen its international image. It was also announced that the company is in search of an international strategic partner with top exhibition experience and expertise.

The development of new exhibition activities was also said to be a priority this year.

In regards to relocating Thessaloniki’s exhibition premises from the city center to the Sindos suburb, Mr. Karaoglou said that although that is the ultimate goal, the current economic conditions do not allow the move.

TIF-Helexpo has over 15 exhibition events in various trade sectors on its annual exhibition schedule, including the Thessaloniki International Fair, the most important exhibition organized in Greece, and the Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition.
