Germanwings: Possible Impact To Flights During Strike of European Air Traffic Control Services

Germanwings_air_traffic_controlSeveral air traffic control services in Europe are likely to go on strike on 29 and 30 January 2014.

Trade unions have announced that air traffic controllers from several countries intend to down tools at different times of day and for different periods. The strike is expected to affect air traffic across Europe.

On Wednesday, 29 January, air traffic controllers in Portugal will go on strike while on Thursday, 30 January, work stoppages will take place in Greece, France, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria.

Germanwings informs that the strike may affect some of its flights and recommends for passengers to check for updates on the airline’s website.
