B2B events U.S. Travel Agents Discover Greece At Networking Event In Athens by GTP editing team 5 February 2014 written by GTP editing team 5 February 2014 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 16 Hellenic American Chamber of Tourism (HACT) President George Trivizas “We want to show American travel agents what Greece has to offer, what has changed in the country and how we can all benefit from it,” the president of the Hellenic American Chamber of Tourism (HACT), George Trivizas, told Greek tourism professionals and American travel agents at an event held on 4 February in Athens. For one week, hosted travel agents from the United States will attend workshops and presentations in Athens and gain hands-on experience through hotel/venue inspections, cultural visits and B2B meetings with Greek travel agents, tour operators and hoteliers. The event is organized by HACT and aims to promote Greece – with a special emphasis on Athens – and the variety of the country’s offered services, all year round activities and alternative tourism options. “Greece has a lot to share with the world” Anita Pagliasso, trade show director of Outside Sales Support Network (OSSN). On her part, the trade show director of the Outside Sales Support Network (OSSN*), Anita Pagliasso, invited Greek professionals to the trade shows in the U.S. to show their products. “After gaining knowledge and experiences on Greece, the agents attending this trip will be great ambassadors to the country once they return to America… but we also need to see you,” Ms. Pagliasso told Greek tourism professionals. “Greece has a lot to share with the rest of the world,” she said. The “Feb 2014 U.S. Networking Event in Athens Greece” is taking place in the Greek capital at the moment and will move on to Corinth, for two days. All American travel agents/tour operators attending the event are high qualified Group & FIT Agents, MICE specialists, home based luxury agents.
