Porto Carras Grand Resort Announces Renovation Plans

Porto_Carras1The Porto Carras Grand Resort in Greece recently announced its renovation program for the 2014 season.

Putting safety above all, this season the resort will include a renovation of pools and lagoons in the luxury hotels Sithonia and Meliton, renovation of the playground in the Meliton Hotel, upgrading of the fire protection system in both hotels and installation of new lifts for faster and safer movement of guests.

Furthermore, the refurbishment of external and internal spaces include the changing of carpets in both hotels, the construction of a new WC at the VIP beach, the upgrade of the public WC at Meliton and Sithonia hotel and the renewal of furniture in the lobby of both hotels.

Developing eco-tourism with respect to the environment

Porto_CarrasThe program of renovations included alignment with environmental and energy standards in electrical infrastructure equipment such as lighting, cooling – heating plants, upgrade of the desalination plant to optimize the quantity and quality of drinking water that is produced.

Gastronomy

Gastronomy is a new challenge for the Porto Carras Grand Resort as it is making a radical renovation of the Pefko restaurant, along with renovations to the two a la carte restaurants around the marina area and a renewal of the menu of the restaurants. Collaborations with award-winning chefs have also been announced.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite movies, news, TV shows and series, video of the resort, information about the resort’s services, facilities, activities, gastronomy, attractions and much more, through innovative applications set up in brand new televisions, LCD flat TV, installed in all rooms and suites.
