Greek Tour Guides Announce Treasure Hunt In Athens

The Association of Licensed Tourist Guides is inviting Athenians and their children to discover monuments and treasures of the Greek capital through a treasure hunt to be held on Sunday 23 February. The treasure hunt will be held on the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day 2014 on 21 February.

Registration will take place from 10am to 12 noon at the CAMP! café on Kotzia Square.

After signing in, all participants will receive a list of the city’s monuments they have to discover along with a list of related questions that need to be answered. Qualified Greek tour guides will be present to give a short guided tour and assist with the answers to the questions.

Once all questions are answered the treasure hunt will be concluded.

Those who are successful will win free guided tours given by qualified Greek tour guides on Sunday 2 March 2014.

The treasure hunt will be held under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens.
