Travel Trade Athens Event Attracts High Interest From Professionals

Travel_Trade_Athens_2International and Greek tourism professionals have expressed a high interest to participate in the second edition of the annual Travel Trade Athens event to be held 14-15 April 2014 at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center.

Travel_Trade_Athens_2014So far, the organizers have confirmed the registration of 54 buyers-tour operators, travel agents, conference and corporate meetings organizers, etc, from the UK, Australia, the United States, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, India, Argentina, Switzerland, Romania, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Azerbaijan.

A total of 80 hosted buyers are expected to attend the event.

In addition, journalists, bloggers and media representatives from Europe, the U.S. and Cyprus have been invited to cover the Travel Trade Athens 2014 event.

travel trade athensA large number of suppliers from the Greek market have also registered and the number is expected to increase significantly as the last day of registration is approaching (28 February 2014). Greek businesses that will attend include hotels, tourism organizations, travel agencies, DMCs, conference and events organizers, etc.

Registration can be made online and applications will not be accepted after 28 February.

Travel Trade Athens is the signature annual trade event for the Greek capital hosting selected international buyers focused on Athens and Greece. The trade event was first introduced in 2013 as part of the strategy of the Municipality of Athens to promote the Greek capital in the international tourism market and inform foreign businesses and professionals on the destination’s tourism product and services.

Travel Trade Athens 2014 is organized by the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency through the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) with the cooperation of the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA).
