New Cooperations Expected From SWOT Business Travel Forum In Athens

Greek hotel professionals from 17 of Greece’s leading hotel groups.

Representatives of 17 of Greece’s leading hotel groups participated in the 1st Business Travel Professionals Forum (BTPF) held recently in Athens and held some 600 meetings with major companies and tourism organizations.

The forum was held 6-7 February 2014 by SWOT, a recently established company for the management and development of tourism enterprises that specializes in the sales and representation of Greek hotels.

On the first day of the forum, Greek hotel professionals made contacts with more than 40 commercial companies, known for their significant activity in professional tourism and the organization of conferences in Greece.

The hotel groups that participated in the forum included 12 Hotel, Aegli Resort & Spa, AKS, Amathus Beach Hotel Rhodes, Aquila Atlantis, Avra Imperial, Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, Daios Cove, Electra Hotels, Imaret Hotel, Kinsterna, Makedonia Palace, Porto Carras, Porto Elounda, Poseidonion Grand Hotel, Skiathos Palace and The Met.

On the second day of the forum, representatives from 34 leading travel agencies in Athens met with the hotel representatives and explored possible cooperation paths.

On the last day of the forum, the head of SWOT, Giorgos Konstantinidis, announced that the company would undertake the marketing and sales of the Imaret Hotel in Kavala, northern Greece. Imaret is a luxurious hospitality property located within the homonymous historical monument built in 1817 overlooking the city of Kavala.

SWOT – Simple Way Of Tourism – is a team of respected Greek tourism professionals, with years of experience at leading Greek and multinational travel organizations.
