Supporting entrepreneurship in the Greek capital A significant part of The Athens Project is dedicated to improve the competitiveness and entrepreneurship in the Greek capital. Over 27 million euros have been secured to strengthen key sectors of the city’s local economy that foster innovation and competitiveness. The program will promote a new economic model of cooperation through which the Municipality of Athens will act as a hub that enables synergies between businesses and organizations. It is estimated that the new program will help create 140 new businesses in the field of new technologies, 100 in the creative industries sector, 50 new social enterprises and at least 600 new job positions.
