In a press conference held on 20 February in Athens, the Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourist Agencies (HATTA) and the Hellenic Professional Yacht Owners Association (known as EPEST in Greece) announced that they were joining forces to promote Greek tourism and yachting. East Med Yacht Show 2014 The associations announced that they will co-host the 13th East Med Yacht Show, scheduled to be held 2-7 May on the island of Poros. The East Med Yacht Show is an international exhibition held in the harbor of Poros where the finest crewed charter yachts are presented to the most prestigious charter agencies and brokers worldwide. HATTA and EPEST will highlight and promote Greek yachting to international markets by inviting tour operators and travel agents from selected foreign markets (as hosted buyers) to visit the Yacht Show and become acquainted with the product. In regards to the Greek market, yachting will be promoted through Greek travel agencies. An additional action to develop Greek yachting, will be the launch of a multi-purpose online platform where all technical characteristics of Greek yachting vessels will be presented and displayed. The platform will aim to give travel agents insight on details concerning the function, charter and sales promotion of yachts for them to pass on the information to the general public.
