Destinations news German Travel Agents To Tour Greece In Spring 2014 by GTP editing team 24 February 2014 written by GTP editing team 24 February 2014 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 24 GNTO Germany teams up with Thomas Cook to promote Greece for holiday making Lindos, Rhodes The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) office in Germany and tour operator Thomas Cook GmbH have invited German travel agents to attend a series of familiarization trips (fam trips) to popular Greek destinations this Spring. According to an announcement, already seven trips to Crete, Rhodes, Kos and Corfu have been scheduled and will involve 140 representatives of specialized German travel agencies. The fam trips will take place from May until October and are part of the Greek Tourism Ministry’s strategy to extend the country’s tourism season. According to reports, German tourists are expected to travel in large numbers to Greece this summer, as the country remains among the most popular tourism destinations for the German market.
