Photo source: Costa Navarino The Region of the Peloponnese in Southern Greece was promoted in London last week in a five-day exhibition hosted at the flagship National Geographic Store, located opposite Harrods on Brompton Road, in Knightsbridge, UK. The event, entitled “The Peloponnese Arrives in the Heart of London” was held 17–21 February, and displayed the Greek region in an interactive, interesting and innovative way, by embodying the spirit of the Peloponnese with every sight, sound and smell. There were two daily tastings of the region’s world-famous olive oil and other traditional products, a photography exhibition and much more aimed to attract London’s holidaymakers to visit the Greek destination. Since the launch of new direct flights from London to Kalamata last spring, visiting the Peloponnese has never been easier. The Peloponnese exhibition will travel to other European cities that have direct flights to Kalamata such as Paris, Vienna, Munich, Dusseldorf and Stockholm.
