The EU Youth Conference in Thessaloniki is the ending part of Structured Dialogue cycle with the trio of EU Presidency Countries of Ireland, Lithuania and Greece. The overall theme for this cycle is “Social Inclusion” and each six-month consultation has built upon the results of the previous one. During the conference, policy makers and youth representatives will discuss the results and the process of the Structured Dialogue with young people on social inclusion, focusing on youth entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. The event, which is organized by the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the support of the European Commission, will bring together some 250 participants from National Youth Councils (NYCs) and Directorates-General for Youth from the EU, candidate countries and EFTA (European Free Trade Alliance) states. The EU Youth Conference is one of the milestones of the structured dialogue process, which serves as a forum for continuous joint reflection on the priorities, implementation and follow-up of European cooperation in the youth field. The conference builds upon the results of national consultations conducted in the 28 Member States of the European Union as well as the reports submitted by International Non-Governmental Youth Organizations (INGYOs).
