The island’s hoteliers, travel agents, entrepreneurs, local producers and wine-makers will participate in the ITB trade show under the umbrella of the Region of Crete and intend to give the world a dynamic display of what the destination has to offer. The Hellas Foundation for Research and Technology will also be present at the Crete stand and provide interactive screens to give “guided tours” to the thousands of foreign visitors at the exhibition. According to the press, Crete’s joint showing at ITB is an initiative of the governor of the Region, Stavros Arnaoutakis. This cooperation is expected to work in favor of Crete’s promotion and help extend the tourism season, which is everyone’s main goal.
