Ferie For Alle is one of Scandinavia’s biggest holiday fairs and attracts more than 60,000 Danish travelers. This year, Greece was the official Partner Country of the Danish Travel Show and a wide range of activities and events focusing on the country as a travel destination took place. The Greek National Tourism Organization represented Greece at the exhibition and hosted many Greek destinations and tourism enterprises. Greece welcomes some 350,000 Danish visitors on an annual basis, recent data said. Crete turns heads Crete made an excellent showing at the travel show from the “Kalimera Graekenland” stand that was manned by Oslo-based communication agency North Events. Greek hoteliers from Chania, Rethymnon and Sitia presented many holiday package offers to the Danes that visited the stand. According to reports, last year over 123,000 Danish tourists landed at Crete’s airports. The Danish Travel Show counted a total of 64,520 visitors, 1,088 exhibitors from around the world and 205 journalists – representatives of media.
