Astra Airlines Connects Athens To Iraqi Kurdistan

Thessaloniki-based Astra Airlines has announced the launch of a new route connecting Athens, Greece, with Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan as of 3 April 2014.

According to the Greek airline, the new route will mark a new era in the connection of the two countries.

Flights will fly directly from Athens to Erbil two times per week on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Athens Burhan Jaf expressed his great satisfaction for the new route as “it will further strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Greece and Iraq.”
