Culinary Center Opens For Crete’s Certified Products

Crete_DSC04114Simata_crete_Final_ENA Culinary Center recently opened in Rethymnon, Crete, to house the island’s certified products that are labeled with the quality brand name “CRETE.”

The center, which belongs to the Region of Crete, will aim to promote and spread the model of the Cretan diet, promote and ensure the consumption of Cretan products, preserve traditional consumer standards, certify local products and see to all details involved in the production and circulation of products with the quality label “CRETE.”

Crete has launched its own quality brand “CRETE” that labels the island’s certified products. Twenty nine Cretan enterprises recently obtained the label and will now circulate their products in the markets of Greece and abroad under the single brand name “CRETE.”
