Acropolis_museum_2The Acropolis Museum in Athens will be open on Mondays from 1 April until 31 October to respond to the increased number of visitors Greece is expecting this tourism season.

Acropolis_museum_1aThe opening hours of the Acropolis Museum will be as follows:

Monday: 8:00 am – 4 pm
Tuesday to Sunday: 8:00 am – 8 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 10 pm

This is part of a wider plan of the Greek Culture Ministry that sees 33 of Greece’s most popular museums and archaeological sites operating on extended hours.

More specifically, as of 1 April, the 33 selected museums and sites will remain open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
