Portara, Naxos Swedish readers of the online version of Expressen newspaper recently voted for their top 10 of the best Greek islands. The article presents the Greek islands in order of preference and includes a brief description of the characteristics of each destination. According to the article, Crete is the most popular island for the Swedes followed by Naxos that features stunning beaches and Amorgos, where the movie The Big Blue was filmed. AmorgosPigadi, KarpathosVathy, Samos The beauty of nature on Karpathos and the historical sights on Samos occupy the fourth and fifth places of the top 10 respectively. Rhodes with its nightlife and cultural heritage follows in the sixth place and Tilos comes in seventh.
