AGG_7373_aAGG_7552_aThe “21st Cycling Tour of Athens” took place on 6 April in the Greek capital in dedication to World Health Day (7 April) and to spread the message “Love your health… get a bike.”

According to the Organization of Culture Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Athens, over 5,000 cyclists participated in the event.

The start of the cycling tour took place at Kotzia Square,  opposite City Hall, at 10am, where participating cyclists took part in one of the three offered routes of 9km, 3km and 900 meters (for the disabled and children).

The event aimed to raise the societal role of sport, free participation in all athletic events and initiation into the Olympic Idea of “fair play” and exercise.
