A new web portal is now available for travel agents, tour operators, schools, enterprises and individuals that are looking for private tailor-made guided tours by qualified tourist guides. The new portal “Fair Deal Tours Europe,” was launched by the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG) to offer interested parties the opportunity to search through the FEG’s members/qualified tourist guides – by country, by region and by language – to find the perfect guide they need. Tourism professionals or individuals can browse through CVs, special interests and the tours each tourist guide proposes and then register and contact him/her directly by email. “No hidden commissions charged, no intermediates to be paid, just you and the tourist guide arranging your itinerary, guiding fees, date, time and place with just a few clicks,” the FEG said in a recent announcement. All members registered on the portal fairdealtourseurope.com have to previously sign the FEG Code of Conduct and comply with FEG Fair Deal Tour rules. It is guaranteed that all members on the portal are certified tourist guides, members of their own national tourist guide associations that are members of the FEG. “There are no amateurs or any non-qualified so-called ‘guides’ pretending to be official tourist guides,” according to the FEG. Reviews on the portal are encouraged by the FEG. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
