Land Transportation New Bus Line To Connect Piraeus Port With Acropolis & Syntagma by GTP editing team 6 May 2014 written by GTP editing team 6 May 2014 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 Visitors to Athens arriving by cruise ship will soon be able to access the city center in just 60 minutes from Piraeus Port and see popular sites such as the Acropolis. The Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) has announced the launch of a new X80 bus line “Piraeus-Acropolis-Syntagma Express” to facilitate tourists that arrive by cruise ships at Piraeus Port to visit the Acropolis and the city center. The terminal of the new bus line will be Akti Xaveriou in Piraeus and stops will include Piraeus Port Authority, Piraeus center, the Sygrou-Fix metro station, the Acropolis and Syntagma Square (last stop). The travel distance from Akti Xaveriou to Syntagma Square via the new bus line will be 25 kilometers (60 minutes). To ride the bus, passengers can use one-day or three-day tour tickets.
