Photo © Hilton Athens Hilton Athens has appointed Kostas Athanasiou as executive chef, who brings over 20 years of experience of working in some of Greece’s top hotels with him. Mr. Athanasiou is from Thessaloniki and has worked at five-star hotels in Greece including the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the Athenaeum Intercontinental and the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki. As Executive Chef of Hilton Athens, Mr. Athanasiou will bring a wealth of experience to the hotel’s Byzantine, Galaxy and Oasis Pool Bar & Grill restaurants and the Aethrion Lounge. He will also look at more creative dishes and combine Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of international flair. Mr. Athanasiou will aim for Hilton Athens to maintain its prominent position as one of the most top places to dine in the Greek capital. He is a graduate of the School of Tourism Professions of Anavyssos in Greece and has attended seminars given at the Ecole Ritz Escoffier school and by the team of Alain Ducasse.
