Last year, the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA) joined the “Travelife” system, an E.U. training, management and certification initiative for tourism companies committed to reach sustainability. “Travelife” is dedicated to making holiday experiences more sustainable by working with the travel industry and its suppliers to deliver environmental and social improvements throughout the European tourism supply chain. The first four Greek travel agencies enrolled in the “Travelife” system are currently in the process of obtaining the Travelife “Partner Level” status that will eventually lead them to certification. The certification recognizes companies that have made a long-term commitment to sustainability and are leading in this area. For a detailed presentation (in Greek) on the “Travelife” initiative, press here or contact the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA).
