Fly Me To The Moon ΙΙ: “Check In” For Athens Airport’s Music Trips!

Flights to destination… “The Moon,” for travelers and visitors of Athens International Airport continue

aia_GENERIC_GrEn_120x180“Fly me to the Moon,” Athens International Airport’s cultural journey of concerts, performances and happenings by popular music groups and well-known artists, has announced another “airport check-in,” full of music and surprises.

Imam Baildi, Gadjo Dilo, Marietta Fafouti, Penny & the Swingin’ Cats, the Athens State Orchestra, and many unexpected Swing & Milonga moments, are just some of the acts that passengers and airport visitors will enjoy in the coming months.

“Fly me to the Moon” includes two basic sets of cultural events and interactive projects:

– Musicport, the airport’s music Fridays, and

Perform in Art, where young artists get their inspiration from the airport environment, and invite passengers to an original musical, theatrical or dancing experience!

• June 21 2014:  World Music Day – Athens State Orchestra
• July 18 2014: Musicport – Penny & The Swingin’ Cats
• September 19 & 26, 2014: Musicport – Gadgo Dilo
• October 17, 2014: Musicport – Marietta Fafouti
• November 14, 2014: Musicport – tbc
• December 24 & 31, 2015: Christmas events
• January 16, 2015: Penny & The Swingin’ Cats
• February 14, 2015: Perform in Art – Swing with me & fly
• March 20, 2015: Musicport – Wedding Singers
• April 24, 2015: Perform in Art- Milonga
