Costa Navarino in Messinia, southwest Peloponnese, Greece, has launched another dynamic concept at its contemporary art platform “Costa Navarino: Engaging Art.”

The platform’s exhibition for this year is named “Mimicry” and features five in-residence artists: Dimitrios Antonitsis, Ryusuke Kido, Martha Dimitropoulou, Eva Mitala and Carsten Fock. The exhibition space will be housed in Navarino Dunes.

The main point of the exhibition is that the artists will interact with guests staying at Costa Navarino’s two resorts (The Westin Resort and The Romanos) and dynamically engage them in the process of their new work, which they will create on-the-spot, during the exhibition.

The innovative art concept was launched last year and aims to become a permanent platform for contemporary visual arts.

The “Mimicry” exhibition is curated by conceptual artist Dimitris Antonitsis and will run until 14 September.

The “Costa Navarino: Engaging Art” platform was awarded in the Worldwide Hospitality Awards 2013, in the category “Best Innovation: Public Area.”
