With the Holy Spirit Monday approaching on 9 June, the Greeks are getting ready for a long weekend holiday getaway.

Trivago booking and price comparison site recently released data on the most popular destinations searched online for the weekend of the Holy Spirit. The searches were carried out by Greek users from 1 May to 30 May for the period 6-9 June.

For this year’s Holy Spirit holiday it seems that the Greeks are opting for Greece!

Little Venice, Mykonos

Super stylist party island Mykonos is on the top of the list followed by Nafplio, Santorini (Kamari and Imerovigli) and Parga.

Eretria in Evia is in the sixth place and Skiathos is in the seventh.

The eighth destination preferred by the Greeks for the upcoming long weekend holiday is Pafos in Cyprus.

Hydra of the Argosaronic islands is in the ninth place, while Santorini once again makes its appearance on the list as Perissa is in the 10th place.

It should be noted that the top 10 list of the most popular destinations searched by the Greeks for this year’s Holy Spirit holiday does not contain any European destination.
